After the Painting by M. Uckermann (Norway) Etching, in four plates, by F. L. Kirkpatrick
|
"In the larger of the two galleries devoted to Norway in the West pavilion of the Fine Arts Building hangs this big canvas in which is depicted with somewhat unpleasant vividness one of the endless little episodes of Nature, "red in tooth and claw." It is the only exhibit of the painter, Karl Uckermann, of Christiania, born at Lokoten. He received an honorable mention at the Salon of 1881, though he does not often exhibit either in Paris or Munich." | |
